RPMs at idle in "park?"

What is the normal idle for our trucks when in Park? Mine seems a bit high on a cold start...about 1000 rpms. But once the truck warms up, the idle in park is only 700 or so. Wonder what it could be and if it is detrimental at all or symptoms of a more serious problem? My truck drives perfectly fine and I have no shudder or misfire at all. Idles smoothly, just a tad high than I remember. It idles normally in all the other gears though.

TPS voltage was right on the mark (like .995), I am running Denso IT20s, and I don't think it is the IAC. Again, I'm only seeing the high idle during a cold start (not driven overnight).

You can get that Ford idle air kit...fits between idle speed motor and has 2 set screws...I used on mine to bring idle down from 1400 rpm after I set my TPS voltage at 1.06 .....

Totally normal, PCM has a programmed warmup thing that sets the rpms a tad higher until the engine is warm, dont worry about it.
In fact itll sit at 1400 and idle down to 800-900 over the first few minutes if you watch.

Promod: got a site or number for me? So does this gizmo reset or compensate for inaccurate TPS voltage settings?

Grinomyte: So does a bone stock Lightning do this? I hope it is normal....

after warm-up, idle should be at or around 650. and your tps voltage settings should be no higher than .999

yes a stock Lightning should do this, i dont think a chip (or reflash in your case) will interfere with this process unless its specifically programmed not to do so, which i doubt any sensible person would do. Its put there to warm up the vehicle, which is the reason your only gettin it on cold starts. Actually it does it on a hot start to just the program runs quicker since the truck is already hot. Do a cold start and watch the idle in park, youll see it start at 2000 very briefly and idle down slowly.

650 -700 is about right in D but in park i think 700 is about right, maybe even a tad low but nothing to be concerned with.

Paul at REM will have a part number, but any ford dealer will have it...like 15 bucks....will compensate for tps voltages, its how I got mine from 1400 rpm down to 600 rpm, you can raise idle too.....

I'm using the same oil separator as you. Why 2 of them? Did you see any benefit to 2?

Notice my water injectection nozzle on plenum...it was filling my seperator with water and oil so fast that I decided to put 2 seperators in so not to drain as frequent ......so now I put injection nozzle on REM intake boot before throttle body.....
