I'm posting this here since its Lightning related and I dont think all years have the keypad. I notice I usually have to enter the code several times to open the vehicle. This is even when I am certain I have entered the code correctly. My wifes Expedition has the same type system and works perfectly.

Anyone else experiencing the same trouble?

Never had that problem

Likely one of your buttons is not working right.

In other words you have to mash it to get it to "take"

No, I dont have to push it hard, just enter the code a few times. The buttons all seem a bit wobbly but I dont know if thats normal. Your probably right, I bet there is one button that is skipping out on the code entry. Its been this way since I took delivery. I'll just mention it on the next shop visit.
