Ya I measured the stripes on both sides, and they were within a 1/16 th of a inch. Also if you look at the right side logo it sits closer to the door, than the left side.

I asked them to center the logo on my truck, but now I know I should have had them make the stripe a little wider.

If you look at Lightning Bobs truck the logo on the right side looks like it sits at the back of the stripe. Now I know why.

no offense

don't get me wrong, bob's truck looks sweet, but your's not having the stripe brake up at the logo looks much better in my opinion. I'd leave it man, i'm telling ya.

Don, It looks great, as for the logo issue, I'd go your route, have them filled and sanded and then take ****'s advice and have them brushed on at a later date. Something like this will drive you crazy if you half a** it . As for the color I like and once sanded out and cleared sould look awesome. Good luck, Todd

Well I'll be dipped in Schitt, the emblems are in a differant spot
aren't they ?
The pass side L starts just off the end of the fender,
and the drivers side G ends way before the end of it.
I guess the angle of the Writing, and plus it's script, does throw it all off.

Who would have thought ?

It does seem like if you dremeled all the black back ground off the emblem and just left the Chrome Letters and L Bolt, it would fit ??? Might be worth a thought, what do you have to lose but a set of emblems.

CONGRATS DON, thats quite a Birthday Gift

Looks good Don's Bolt.
IMHO I think it will look very clean without the Lightning emblems.
Maybe you could do like MR.BBQMAN, and put one of the emblems on your grille......or something.

I think it will look good w/o the emblems. I'm going to have mine removed when I repaint mine.

I had an Avenger i bought from Dupont (right off the show circuit in Canada) that I bought and had for a year and a half. sold it to someone in Tennesse for twice what i paid for it.

Picking her up tomorow.

here are some new pics. The holes in the fender are filled and all it needs is some clearcoat, and buffing.

Rotting away?

I don't think Don's hood was actually rotting away, I'm sure he previously stated that he wanted to repair some rock chip paint damage and decided to go a little further with it. It looks like a great idea Don, can't wait to see it in person, John H.
