Mod Motor shootout first #ers

I just talked to Paul G sounds like they are all having a great time.

Don't know the exact numbers , since I was out on the boat when they called me, but (kevin)Skinheads truck
just ran 10.94@125.xx the corrected altitude 0f 2480 feet.

Since Jim is running the truck and isn't elligible for the money, he is doing some tuning on the KB setup on the built motor. From what I heard he lifted a little because they have to run faster in elliminations.

So Grey03 and the rest of you talkin crap about no fast trucks at any of these events, now what do you have to say.

It's too nice out, I am heading back out on the boat, later all

Well Iam packing a cooler and heading to the Pocono's for the race, redneck style.
Sleeping in the truck outside the gate tonight, then headed to the infield, turn #1 to watch the mayhem sunday afternoon.

Grey03, AKA JJ SVT, is nothing more then a whining piece of **** asnd his opinion about the Mod Shootout is meaningless. Sounds like everyone is having a kickass time. Cant wait to get the DVD

edit.
Is the time you posted corrected for altitude? If not what is meant by, "...just ran 10.94@125.xx the corrected altitude 0f 2480 feet."

Leonard, I think he means that was the corrected altitude at the time the run was made.

Thumbs up

I just heard from Jim and he said he ran a 10.82 at 124.80 in Kevin' truck so in eliminations tomorrow he will have to run a 10.72 and he says the truck will have no problem doing it. That sounds like he is really getting the tune down on these KennyBell built motors. Great news, if you ask me..
I just want to add good luck to everyone there and be safe, and have a great time..

Bill

Ya Thanks sal, thats what I ment. The corected altitude at the track was 2480 feet.

I got another call from Paul, I don't remember the exact numberm but it looks like they knocked a tenth or so off the 10.94. I have no idea on the MPH on that run. If I hear any more I will let you all know.

I know they wanted me to go to the race, and while the $2500 was tempting, it was fun to be boating all day. I haven't had a chance to use my boat much this year, so I wasn't go miss this awesome day.

High 10's on All Motor, no N2O, is Awesome!
I'm gonna start saving my $$ for a KB blower and built shortblock, but it's going to take a couple of years.

So, how do I calculate the corrected altitude? It is almost always 80-100% humidity at the track, 80-100 degrees and 650 foot above sea level.

Do a search on Google easterbunny for altitude correction factors.

Heres an offical NHRA correction factor for some tracks

Another correction table

And of course, everybody's favorite guy in the stang world's list of tables...

Here's a humidity correction factor

Another good page with forumlas to get the humidity factors correct
