I need to change my pads and rotors...

I would like to change my pads and rotors myself to save some $$$. I consider myself capable of performing such an operation but, I do not have experience in doing this. Can someone please point me in the right direction and provide part numbers etc... I need to do this soon and any help is much appreciated!!!

Thanks, Jim

Here is a link for the pads.

Pads are easy to do, just under an hour to do the fronts. Go to the bottom of the page.

Wow, thanks anyone have any input on the back??? Also, what are the best rotors to buy and where can I get them. Some that look like the ones in the link posted in the last reply.

Thanks, Jim

Jim,

The swap is pretty easy and once you get under there you will see what I mean. The rear consist of two bolts and the caliper comes right off, but depending on how long the stockers have been on will determine how “easy” they come off. As far as OEM replacements go I prefer Ruslow rotors and you can get in touch with Stan by email (Ruslow@yahoo.com) or his forum at NLOC http://www.nloc.net/forum/forumdispl...s=&forumid=451

Stan can recommend pads for your driving style, but Hawk “blacks” work well on the street.
