Well test drove my first lightning today, a nice black 2001 with 20K miles on it, I'm hooked.
Wasn't really sure what to expect from driving my vette for so long, but its a really nice truck, didn't seem as fast as my vette and its definately a change from being so low to the ground, but I've been drooling over one for a while now and decided to go for it.
So all I got to do is sell my 1992 corvette and I'll be set.

 

I believe a gen 2 Lightning is faster than a stock C4.

You will not regret it! Vettes are nice... but there is just something about being able to haul *** and lots of stuff at the same time. Plus you will save some coin on insurance coming from a Vette!

 

I'm in San Jose, definately looking forward to haul stuff, got a nice dirt bike on the way too

You might know the guy that I test drove his lightning, he was from foster city too, he said he had a freind with a tricked out lightning.
Guys name was Jerry.

Yeah insurance is killing me right now too, almost $200 a month for insurance alone.

 

hmmm, i know a few people wit black lightnings in foster city but i dont know their names. theres an older man with an 01 that has the 99/00 tail lights. then theres a philipino guy(i think he is), he has a 5lb pulley, chip, and clear corners...and I think there is one more guy that lives near a buddy of mine...i dont know anything about his truck. Does Jerry sound like either the older guy or the philipino guy???

 

I had a C4...hella fun and gets a lot more attn and looks (especially from the ladies...chix don't get the lightning) but the lightning is faster and more refined. I think you will enjoy it.
