anyone heard of this trick?

1. Put in your key

2. hold down your tripmeter reset button
- turn your key to the on position (don't start yet).
(holding button)
- wait till it says "test" on your odometer.
(let go after it says test)

3. start

It gives you digital speedometer, tachometer, distance till empty on gas, other stuff too. I'm going to try and look up all the meanings on the net. Just press the button to cycle through all the readings.

Yep, it's a neat trick. DegC is engine temp I believe...mine hovers around 80 Celsius.

I would also like a legend for some of the meanings.

Nate,

OT:

I saw a black '01/'02 black L (w/chrome rims) running east down Legacy from the Tollway this evening w/a blonde chick driving and wondered if it were your rig?

BTW, when're we going to H(*)(*)TERS for those fried pickles and you mentioned a while back ?

Thats very cool. I drove down the road with the digital speedometer setting on and it read 2.5mph slower than what the needle said. That's pretty interesting. I always knew the needle was showing higher than it actually is, i just didnt know by how much. Nice find

I think it goes back to normal when you turn off the truck.
