Reprogram PATS

Just finished installing a new computer and need to reprogram PATS.I borrowed a NGS tool with the green service card now what?Stan

Go to HEC module, then choose security access, it will make you wait 10 minutes. Then it will give you a menu, choose Parameter Reset and perform. Then disconnect batt for 5 minutes. Reconnect, then take one of your keys, put it in and turn to run for 3 seconds. Then IMMEDIATELY, take the second key, turn to run for 3 seconds. Once the second key is done, the truck should start.

even quicker than that is to choose key code erase, but you have to have at least 2 keys present. click that option and when it says completed unplug the ngs from the OBD port and wait 5 sec then put the first key in and turn it to "on" for 3 -sec. then the same with the second key . remove all keys and wait about 15 sec. the truck should start. This step saves you from disconnecting the battery...
