First Kill

I get revved by all kind of stuff, but this was rare. I was lined up with a new model corvette at the light, we both rolled into it.I wanted to see if he was going to go. So we stayed head to head (acceleration increasing with intensity) I could tell by now this guy wanted to go. So Bam.. it was on. We had been rolling like 30 or so so the truck downshifted into first, then cought second hard and barked the tires. I was on it and I was walkin the dog on this guy. I couldnt believe it because this is the first time i have really "run" the truck against anything.

So this guy does the drive by with the thumbs up, then at the light he is like "nice ford" I say thanks.. he asked me "does it come like that" I told him yeah, you can get one for about 30 grand. Now that probably hurt his feelings worse than anything, plus he cant haul anything in that vette. What makes it even funnier is that there were TWO hot babes right behind us in traffic, so i was mr. cool having just beat the Vette. You better believe they were checkin me out after that.

I am running a 6 lb, diablo, magnaflow, plugs, filter, new system (awesome), tonneau cover, bullit mustang gas cap,new f1's.

Gotta love it !!!

Good kill man. Those Corvette and Camaro guys just hate to think that a pickup can out-perform them, although I must say that I've met some cool owners of both. Just be careful out there on the street. If the cops don't eventually nail you, the speed will. We don't want to lose any Lightning owners.

Hey thanks Vinne.

10 - 4 on the speed kills. I go for the short blasts, then the cool down ya know? No extended "high speed" driving for me. Truck just isnt tuned for that. Plus cops too. Im 32 though, and i can say my attitude has gotten me out of some tight places when i get pulled.

Later man..

Nah, they were cute but they look like the high maintenance type. You know, the one who cant figure out which wrench is a 9/16..
