got a code problem

Just had a problem with the fuel line coming off a fuel pump, got that fixed and when I fired up my 99L and took it for a drive the service engine light came on. Had a code scan done and it came up saying it was the mass-air sensor. I tried clearing the computer by unhooking the battery for 1/2 hour. Now as soon as I start driving the service light comes on again. Is my mass-air wrecked? The truck is running fine. What would cause this when all I did was hook a fuel line back up? Help.

Get some brake cleaner or tb cleaner and spray the 2 wires in the maf sampling tube. It may be dirty.

Tried that, did not work. Any other ideas? If I upgrade my MAF to a larger one, what all has to be done to truck? reburn-chip etc, or is it a simple bolt-on and go.

I believe a larger maf requires a re-burn of the chip.

got codes??

I just changed out my last plug, did the other 7 a week earlier-the last one was a real toid, and a day later I got an SES code. Disconnected the battery for 30 min., and it went away for a day. The L runs better with the new plugs so what could THAT code be from? help! Help us both! We seem to both have a "code"!!
Nyquil maybe?

If your MAF is FUBAR, I am sure there are plenty of them lying around in garages for cheap.

Just did the scan again, the MAF code is gone now I am just left with code P0453 - evap pressure high. In the trouble shooting guide in the scanner it was refering to FTP sensor shorted to VREF & sig. RTN shorted to VPWR, what does this all mean and how do I fix it? Any help would really be appreciated, thanx.
