Reliability of the L

Going to go out again with some money in pocket and just wanting some thoughts on the Lightning for a daily driver.[the supercharger particarlly] is the engine built Ford SVT tough""besides what i read on this forum? Thanks,birthday coming up""

If you are talking about a new one I think that with the 8 thread heads they are probably pretty reliable as long as you don't mod them. Once you start with the mods its a crap shoot, and the more you mod the more you diminish reliability.

Make sure you get an 03 and steer clear of modifications. I love my truck but it's spent nearly 1/3 of its life in the shop under repair or waiting on parts.

Mod it judiciously and I see no real decrease in longevity or reliability.
