658hp/792lbft

Hey guys-

went to the dyno the other day, found out some interesting stuff.
unfortunately, I don't have tourque figures for the first 8 runs

first, the runs:

1-4: cautious to check for leaks, A/F etc.

5-6: 610 cold, 605 hot--pump gas, closed exhaust

7-8: 641 cold, 636 hot--pump gas, exhaust dumped

9-10: 658/780tq cold, 648/792tq hot--50/50 C16 + 93, exhaust dumped

11-12: 653/777tq cold, 646/790tq hot--50/50 C16 + 93, exhaust dumped

13-14: 628/742tq cold, 617/753tq hot--50/50 fuel mix, closed exhaust

what I learned:

1. the truck is a phuckin' beast!
2. that cutouts DO work...(sorry about the floor paint, hehe)
3. that the blower makes 1psi more with the exhaust open (19psi)
4. That the fuel alone is worth around 20hp in street trim
5. that the KB boost-a-pump is not snake oil...as we used it solely to richen the fuel mix.

The truck still has power to go, as I did not have the phenolic spacer installed and my NX N-tercooler tanks were empty. I think these mods and more C16 should push it to 675 or so, maybe more.

Of couse, I don't get the benefit of the shaker hood either.

Unfortunatly, I couldn't dip into the 175 shot...no N2O allowed on the dyno. I know I can count on that horsepower however, which means roughly 840 hp and 950-1000 lbft with spray.

Pretty sick to think the KB has the potential to push out more boost as well.

The truck, at this point is still totally streetable.

I'm sure the doubters/flamers/c**ksuckers will pipe in, so I'll tell you now: I don't give a rats a$$ about your opinion.

New England guys, see ya at the track, look forward to shakin' your hand.

Andy

Nice job. You've got a great combo of parts there, but of course the dyno shows that . With proper traction, that's a 10.40 truck easy. Keep us posted on other progess.

Im getting ready to go through the same as as you, as soon as my 55# injectors come in...but I was going to start the KB at 20.5# of boost.....Great numbers man... That must be one hell of a beast....Are you tuning with just a chip or do you use another piggy-back type system.......

Hey Sal!!

that's Andy as in Andy Walker, Portsmouth, NH

Like to see what she do with your chip. I sent Lisa the chip, but never sent her the mod list (duh!) that was like 2-3 weeks ago...when you sent me the valves I needed.

If my sig has enough info for you, burn away!!

To all who are reading, it's Sal's low end and heads (plus other goodies) that are taking/making all that HP.

Sal, you remain, "The Man"

-Andy

Haha, I had no idea it was you. That's great news. I do have your chip, and was waiting on the e-mail you were supposed to send . I'll get with you this week and we'll get it going.

Congrats on the #'s

Hopefully there is a dyno that will allow you to spray so you can get it tuned.

One question do you still drive it on the street? and does that NX intercooler system work well? I was considering doing it.

When I read "All work done by yours truly" in your sig I assumed you built your engine yourself. No big deal that you didn't, I'm just in the middle of building mine myself and thought it was cool to see someone else running a home made motor.

Good numbers regardless.

Sounds like a nice little project you got there. Its nice to see numbers like that when you spend a day at the dyno.
Congrats on some fine pulls. Sounds like traction might be your next problem Hook and go brother
