Updated Stereo Install Pics - week2

Well me and my buddy spent the weekend working on the enclosure again. This time working on building up the fiberglass layers with both weave and mat. Check out the last 7 pictures in my album for the snapshots. Next week we will start the sanding/bonding process and if all goes we will begin covering the box.

Stay tuned:

It is hard to make a speaker box fit the contour of the back. I can't wait to see how it fits in the truck. It looks like it will fit like a glove.

Yeah we had to spray the truck corner panels with cheapo spray adhesive. Then we used tape covered in wax to protect the corners of the truck and act as a mold release. Next we laid the fiberglass directly inot the corners of the track and built some temporary supports to help hold it in place while it cured. The biggest pain is that it wants to draw in as it cures. So for 24 hours I had fiberglass in my truck curing. Whewww talk about some strong fumes

It should be all worth it in the end though.

Yes it will be covered in gray vinyl same as what can be seen in the pics of the kick panels.

on subject but off too.

I took pics of removing my front door panels. You would not belive how easy this is to do! I simply watched the guy install my new speakers after paying like $30 extra for his 10 minutes worth of work! I'd like to save other people that cash so they can upgrade themselves but...... HOW do I put pics UP! Sorry I looked around and have been sittin' on these pics for 2 weeks cause I don't wanna seem like a goob. Point me to the correct link or what ever so I can contribute in a much larger way and help out the others that have really helped me out! I wanna give back to you great guys! After seeing how easy this is you'll get your speakers in place in less than an hour! Thanks in advance. Granny
