Exciting Plug Gap Question

What plug gap would you recommend for 18#'s of boost with:

Denso 24's
BR7EF's

Haven't decided yet which ones to install.

Thanks,
Mark

Are you going to run nitrous at all? If so, I vote for the BR7s....tougher plug than the Densos..

I'm guessing you have JL's diablo chip in your truck right now? I have his chip also and we have close to the same mods I guess. I am running a 6lb lower and 3" upper. I have NGK BR7EF's in it right now and it runs good. They are gapped at .028.

edit: NGK/Denso mixup.

Easterisland

Running the KB with a 2# lower and 2 1/2" upper. Making around 18#+ from what I could see in the brief seconds I got into it before the Denso 22's exploded. Thanks for the info - NGK's & .028 it is! Cyntaxx, no nitrous at this point, lots of tuning left to go with the KB.

with the 6lb and 3" I make 18psi max
with the 6lb and 2.5" I make 26psi
with the 2lb and 2.5" I make 22psi

I use 93 octane on the street setting. On race I only use C16. JL may have set my timing lower than you or conditions amy also be different. The day I installed the KB I stuck on the 2lb lower and the 2.5" upper and accidently had the chip set on race program. I broke the ceramic insulators on 7 of the spark plugs the first time I hit the gas. IT-24's gapped at .028. The insulators just slid down and covered the tip of the plugs.
My truck also runs okay with 22psi. I figured 18 psi was better probably for longevity and lets me have enough power to beat most street stuff around here.

Did Denso and NGK merge?

Yes I Do Have a JL Chip

22#'s huh, whoops that sounds a little excessive for what I had in mind!!! Maybe right for the strip. Your Denso destruction outing sounds like what I did with my 22's, except I had a few missing pocelain. Maybe I should go to a 3 inch upper with the 2# lower. Thinking that should give me around 16-18#'s?? Excuse my ignorance, but what is C16 ?(116 octane race?).
