Plug wet with fuel, why?
Plug wet with fuel, why?
My old #5 plug is crusty. My new #5 plug is wet with fuel. I tried replacing the coil pack, and it didn't change anything. Tonight I'm going to replace the injector. If it wasn't the injector... What else would cause a plug to be wet with gas?

well, i replaced the injector and i have same symptoms. there are no codes being set, and my autotap reads 0 misfires. but yet, i pulled the plug yesterday, and it was wet with gas. i did not pull the plug after the new injector, cause i'm too fed up with it right now.
anybody got an idea?

oh and number 5 is the passenger front plug right? Are you sure its fuel, i once had that plug and the plugs behind it coated with oil. I freaked when i saw the first one thinking i have done some major damage, but it turns out i just dont know how to use a funnel to fill up the oil.
#5 is front drivers side.
I changed the injector with a new one, so the injector is not stuck.
I'm 99% sure it's fuel on the plug... It's not dark to be oil, and no green tint, and it smells like fresh gas.
The symptom I'm having is some sort of misfire/stumbling. It's not horrible, but something is definately happening. It's most noticeable when you hold the throttle say at 15%, you get a little burble in there at a pretty regular interval. Also when you jab the throttle and it's coming down you get burbling. (This would be operating the throttle from the engine compartment).

I dont know, but i am just wondering if the pack is getting any power. Break in the wire, grounded out, weak voltage, etc.. Im sure someone on here knows the voltage etc..
Hey maybye you could pull the pack (not the plug) Put a plug in the pack, ground the plug , and do the oldschool spark test ??

I did pull the plug on the pack while it was running and the got constant misfires, so I know it's doing 'something'
