GT40 will use a screw compressor made by Roush (spelling?) and then purchased by Eaton and sold to Ford.

I bought a JDM 166 blower back in early 2002 from JDM. So did MidsouthBolt. We waited and waited but it never materialized. I got my money back.

I'm am pretty sure the JDM 166 is just the regular old eaton with different rotor packs. Twin screw type rotor packs. There is a local guy here who has a lightning with the twin screw rotor packs for a few years. There are also some Lightning owners on this board who have went very quick with hardly any mods. How do they do it? Next time you are wondering how someone can get a low 11 second pass on a stock blower ask them to take off the upper plenum so you can look at the rotor packs...

A few times the discussion of changing the rotor packs came up, but no answers ever came around. Unless I missed them.

The only replacement rotors I ever saw a comment on was the graphite coated rotors and they were just not supposed to flake.

The 166 pics ive seen were nothing more then an early addition of a prototype of a rear entry ( jj likes that ) Eaton MM112. I guess when they put the blower on, they realized real quick that there was no clearance. So that design was scrapped for the M112 we currently have, which is top entry.

Eaton/Roush then designed the rear entry for the 03 Cobra.

Looks like someone could make some bucks$$$ installing and selling eatons w/screws installed. There are plenty of people here ready to send in their eatons fore cores Maybe this 'person' is reading this and would like to set up an eaton for me Any ideas on how much boost this setup can run?BTW are twin screw blowers (KB) any louder/quieter/different sounding?
