1/4 mile, Heat and performance?

Question to all regular 1/4 mile folks - ballpark figure, what's does you truck lose for ET and MPH on a 90 degree plus heavy humidy day vs. 70 degree low humidity day, I know theres no solid awnser to this I'm just looking for your experance. I couldn't break into the 12's today and frankly was a bit disappointed, I figured with my mod list even with the heat, consistant upper 12's would be no problem, as I ran mid 12s earlier in the season and then added a full exhaust, loop, traction bars and had it tuned. The truck was just a dog all day and was effected by the heat thats a given but a second off of my expected ET? Thanks, Todd

4lb pulley
Kook long tubes, high flows, magnaflow cat back

I'm almost sure that there is a correction factor for heat and humidity. I think the NHRA website has the formula or just do a google search.

Performance

I've seen as much as 3 to 4 tenths difference in the Q-mile from the best to worst weather conditions with my 2000 L . I don't race very much in the Summer months, mostly in the Spring and the Fall. John H

That doesn't apply to an intercooled engine as much as it does a naturally aspirated one.

My ET's dropped 1 tenth per 7 degrees.

My truck also had much slower times due to heat recently. So I have 2 intercooler fans and a JDM phenolic spacer to put on.

The intercooler temps were so high that I was barely able to touch the tank. The same holds true for intake.

It's hard to imagine that that real hot fluid cools the intake flow.
