I usually take some paste wax and apply it to the front end, of course and don't wipe it off.. after the trip go to the spray wash and spray them off..

To follow up on the pledge - I have used it on my bicycles for 10 years and no paint damage apparent yet.

I am doing the invinca-shield thing again. I can't be bothered clay baring the front end every other week. After putting that product it on my previous vehicle, driving it through 2 winters and numeous bug seasons up at the cottage, the crap just washes off like nothing. Totally protects a good part of the front end from being sandblasted as well.

It isn't for everyone but it works very well for me.
