Arrow 100 shot of nitrous... is it safe

Ive got an 01 with only a FTVB no other mods. How is it that people are running 4 and 6 # pulleys along with a 50 to 75 shot of juice, but when i mention im gonna be using a 100 shot with no xtra boost im always told its not gonna hold. I am gonna get a flip chip tuned on one side for the juice and have the timing and shift points lowered. I think this would be safe. You never hear of the trucks blowing pistons, they just break rods. So if i just pull the shift points down to around 5200 or so that would take some of the stress off the rods, right? Well, thats the way i see it anyways, but i could be wrong.

Yep you go the right idea. I know some shooting a 100 shot without any problems. Just don't spray from every stoplight on a daily basis.

I would not spray an 01, look at the blown motor post, 80% were 01"s. Blow the motor 1st, get a reman and spray it

Im not gonna be juicing it all the time, just when its needed. I know all about blowing motors, Ive put three in my stang in the last 3 yrs. So im just gonna spray on special occasions. I just figured that if the stock rods are good up to about 500hp at the flywheel then it shouldnt matter how you pick up the power.

My best time with nitrous is .2 seconds slower than quickest w/o. I am in the process of looking for some new wheels. I hate to grind the calipers because I drive the truck all of the time.
I was hoping to pick up the ones stolen from Don C at a discount...
I'm tired of having a ten second truck and it only going 11's because of traction.

How do you have your front suspension setup and what are your 60s?

If you go easy and not create a lot of heat, you will have no problems shaving the calps down. Take your time.

My best 60 ever is a 1.69 with a 2600 stall.
I could do some suspension work, but I'm not going to. I have the roush suspension. I guess I could get the QA1 shocks and adjust them...
Is everyone else still using the front springs off of a regular F150 and QA1's in the back?
Maybe I'll just widen the wheels and see what she does...

Try unbolting the sway bar, should help a bit.

How much air are you running in the tires and are the side walls screwed to the rim at all?

I'm not going to screw the slicks because they don't move. That was at around 4600 pounds. With the sway bar disconnected...
