Question Noise from tensioner bar

I recently installed a 2 lb lower pulley along with an e-fan and water pump this weekend. I know alot of people said that if you break the tab off on the tensioner that you could use the stock belt. Well I bought a stock length gatorback belt and used that and broke the little piece off and the belt fit fine.

My problem now is that it makes nice little vibration sound now It took me a while to pinpoint the noise, but it is coming from the tensioner. If i put a little pressure pushing down on it, the noise goes away. Any suggestions, should I buy a longer belt??

Thanks guys

Jon

Just so you know that you are not being ignored, as well as upgrading my post ***** status. I don't know the answer, though, but I hope someone does.

A bit touchy are we?

I would try the longer belt, although I have a 4# and run
a stock belt ... With the tab broken off ...
