Polished Blower Installed

After 2 years, finally got my 01 polished blower finished and installed on the truck. With the addition of REM's new 2lb lower pulley I now get a solid 11lbs of boost on my Autometer gauge. Which means I have already achieved my goal of 400 rwhp. Truck runs real strong now due to the fact when we installed the blower we also cleaned the intercooler with STP carb cleaner, thing was caked with oil. GReedy catch can is now installed to catch all the oil that was getting in the intake. Fully smoothed and polished the catch can and removed all the engraved logo garbage. Just need to replace the hoses that came with the kit as there not strong enough for the vaccum the truck creates. We used the option T bracket that you can purchase with the GReddy Catch can and modified it to fit the bolts on the manifold that secure the fuel rail. Just need to get some thick washers now so the bottom of the can clears the fuel rails completely.

It looks freaking awesome. Great job on the polishing. I assume you had this blower as a spare so that you could still drive the truck.

There will be a How-To on the catch can when I find some clear hose that won't colapse with 20lbs of vaccum. The crap that comes with the can sucks!

The hose running from the can into the plenum needs to be clear so you can monitor any oil getting thru the system. The hose from the pcv valve to the can can be fuel hose which is much stronger.

$80-110

The local import store should carry it for around $85, make sure you get the 9mm version.

Yes, I have been working on this blower for about 2years. In that time we have:

- Ported inside of blower
- Plugged 4 holes in bottom of blower
- stripped and smoothed outside of blower
- polished several time till smooth as silk
- even polished the stock steel pulley and all the nose bolts!

I do notice the new plugged/graphite rotor s/c builds boost alot faster than my original blower. This might have alot to do with the intercooler. The blower goes straight from 18lbs vaccum to 5lbs boost in nothing.

With the holes plugged the blower does make alittle more noise, but not alot.
I can here the blower whinning at stoplights now faintly, never could hear it before. When you stomp on the gas is when you can hear the difference in the holes being plugged, it screams nicely over the bassani exhaust now.
