when i get out this wheelchair (sometime in july i hope) im gona get the built short block and works 140 prolly from razor edge.

im gona use my heads i got now but was woundering since there is only 4 threads for the spark plug building it up more

has any body done this or have a better idea i dont want a onwanted ram air hood you know

 

Helicoiling is always an option. Either that or the 03 heads.

 

helicoiling would still have the same amout of alluiminuim holding it in right? i havent seen these heads, im used to tweakin BBC motors.

you know were to get a bare 03 head(s)?

 

When you put in Helicoils you will have to use 3/4" reach coils as the entire length of the plug hole will be tapped for them.

Be sure your plugs, from then on, have a full length thread.

 

I have the solid inserts and was told once those are in thats it. If you go with the spring type, I was told if something happens down the road that the solids could then be installed. I say this is cause of detonation I almost burned a helicoil too bad. I would go with the spring type if I could. Good luck on your bottom end. Your porting those heads right?
