cervini hood fitment

Could somebody give me some tips on the fitment of the cervini ram air hood? It's on the truck and everything looks good except for the front. The front of the hood in the middle is too low and is hitting my grill surround. I remember somebody else had this same problem. Also, the latch inside the cab is not popping the hood open. What do I adjust to fix this? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
josh

I don't know what type of grill you have but I think I remember someone stating that certain billet grills pushed the grill surround up in the center. I think they said this could be modified.

Take the hood latch off and place some washers on the screws. This will make the latch catch better and give you the adjustment to make the space across the front more even. Hope this helps

Thanks for the replies. The washers on the latch was gping to be the first thing I try today. (I ran out of time, and washers, yesterday when I installed it) I hope this helps. The wierd thing is the space above the headlights is fine. It's just in the middle where its too close. I'm hoping that the washers on the latch will lift it a little in the middle, then I might be able to use other washers to shim the grill surround up a little above the headlights to make the whole seam even. The seams at the fenders are perfect though - flush and equal in width.

Thanks for all the help

partially fixed. . .

well, the washers on hood latch in addition to using the factory rubbers bumps stops from the factory hood worked to raise the hood off the grill surround. My hood latch however will still not pop the hood open.

Any suggestions?
