Just upstream of the air filter there's the maf adapter that's welded to the pipe then a hole gets drilled and the electronics bolt up directly to it.

You can see it here in Silver-Bolt's 1st picture.

 

I can see the bracket on silver-bolt's setup. I just don't know how the mass air flow system works. I was thinking the sensor somehow measures the air which passes it. Since the air tube is now bigger than stock and the sensor is the same I would think it couldn't measure the increased air flow and therefore you would run leaner. Maybe I'm wrong, I probably am. I'll be doing some searches to look up some information so I'll have a little bit of an idea of how this works.

Where you planning on getting your STi? Are you looking at MSRP or did they mark it up?

STi would be nice to have.....

 

More than likely the STi will come from Hanna's in Vancouver. I have them looking for a silver/silver combo. I may have to wait but I am in no hurry. Under msrp.
