Angry L got welcomed to Vegas, Locals please advise.

After 3 days in my new town, I caught some lowlife inspecting the front wheel-well of my truck. He left before I could do anything and he did not know I saw him. So I'm prepared if he comes back for my truck. Oh well, I guess that's the price you pay for living in Las Vegas.

For those in vegas, any advise for me about living here? I am looking into homes in Henderson, is this a good choice? How big a deal is the front plate? How are the cops? Any areas I should avoid taking my truck? etc..

Thanks

I used to live in Vegas, Green Valley actually. Henderson is the low part of the valley and gets hotter than say summerlin, but hot is all relative out there . If your work is closer to henderson then I'd move there, but if your closer to the NW side I try to go there first.
A good friend of mine is a realtor Buffalo realty (I think they sold out to century 21, but not sure) his name is Ron Haze great guy not a crook.

I live in Henderson. I have lived in Vegas for over 30 years. The last 10 in Henderson. Houses in Henderson are more expensive than most other areas in the Las Vegas area. Car insurance is lower in Henderson also. Insurance companys use your zip code to price their insurance. I have no front plates on any of my vehicles and have never been pulled over for not having one. I can't see ruining the looks of a vehicle with a plate. Cops are on the most part okay. I've had a few follow me for a while after doing something that I shouldn't have done, but haven't been pulled over or ticketed for at least 15 years. Maybe tomorrow will be my day. Don't take your truck to any areas that the street names are letters. "A" street, etc. Avoid these areas and don't make eye contact. Overall it is a great place to live because the economy is usually better here than most parts of the country. Let me know if you need any more info.

Thanks for the info guys. Just one more question, I need to find a good bodyshop to have some dings removed, can someone recommend one? Also, what is the dealer of choice around here for service?

Thumbs up

black2k1,
For ding removal there are a few places that just remove dents. If you need body work or paint I would recommend Frank's Auto Body. 564-6472. The dealer of choice for parts is where I work. Gaudin Ford. E-mail me through the messaging system for more info.
