I wouldnt think anything could get UNDER it and rub the paint if it on tightly. I got 2 small chips in the front of my hood and I have about 4 on the bumper/headlight trim ....I touched them all up so you cant see them but I dont want anymore....I drove to miami last month in a rental and it got about 4 chips in the front from driving on alligator alley... dont need that to happen, especially on the way to a show

I dont tailgate, I hate when people do that...I just blow on by ...ever seena mini van (rental) blow past you at 110?
That thing did make me apreciate my truck however

I have the 3M Ultrashield film on my L. You can wax it just like you do your truck and they recommend that you do. It has a clear coat so you treat it just like the rest of your truck.

I know you are just looking for a temporary solution but I wanted to clear up your comment about the film looking bad if you get wax on it in case others are interested.

how does the wax not get stuck under the edges? do you have to run a q-tip down the edges to get it out? I have seen that stuff in person and it didnt look wax friendly
