Question Technical question about big problem after installing a 01 chip in a 02 lightning.

ok first off ill start from the beginning. my friend is upgrading to the kb so i ordered everything for him. along with the new kb i got him a new chip only the chip i got him was for cxn1 (01) and his truck is an abu2(02). so he gets it and installs all of it. and yes believe it or not the truck started and ran but it skipped and ran like crap HE NEVER DROVE it at all. when he flipped it to stock everything was ok. so he drove it from his shop to his house at bout 30 mph staying out of boost b/c he was on stock program.(it is pullied for 13-14 lbs by the way). so while he was on the way home the check engine light came on. so he disconnects the cables and left it overnight and it went away. well today he gets the correct chip installed (truck is still in same place never drove anymore) it is abu2. first of all the new chip cranks and it runs fine. only check engine light comes on on program 1 immediately when it is cranked up. he flips to prog. 2 and the light goes away and doesnt come on at all. so he takes the chip completely out and just as soon as it cranks up engine light comes on again. so now he scans it and i dont have exact code with me but i believe it was a p0608 and possibly 2nd was an p0606. this was like a barometric pressure sensor, and i dont know what the other was. well he thinks the first chip screwed up his computer and i just dont see how it could. but i never thought one would crank up with the wrong chip either so who knows. opinions please.......... i need help.

im thinking 1. reflash
2. new computer
but i just dont think either of those will do.
3. what could he have messed up when he installed the new blower????????

Ifhe got a barometric pressure code he probaby forgot to plug the sensor back in. It is located above the #8 coil pack.

#8 coil pack is the one closest to the firewall on the driver side.

ok thanks leonard ill have him check that tomorrow. i give him a 6lb. lower and a 3.5 upper. thats what i ran on my truck to get 13-14 psi. keep in mind this is the stock engine not ported heads. with my new engine im having to run a 6 lower and a 3.25 upper to get around 14-15. with that 3.5 i got 12. ill keep you informed on this truck. any other opinions are welcome as well i like to have several solutions if possible hahahaha.

Could be many things. Maybe it is just a bad connection. A wire could have gotten damaged or pinched. Most likely gonna be a wiring or connection problem. I just looked at a trouble code book I have at work and says code P0108 could come from a bad ECM. Best of luck to ya. -Mat-
