I was at the hobby shop the other fay buying a bunch of parts for my nitro TC3 and they had a lightning model.So i bought it. I have everything painted except the body and Bought some Oxford white touch up paint from the ford place for it. I need a lightning body for the Tc3 and i will be set.

 

my buddy its a 1:24 scale but i could be mistaken. i dont know **** about that stuff.

About three years ago for my birthday my wife bought me a 1/10th scale R/C Tamiya 4WD TA02 Limited Edition Racing Special Chassis Kit with Lightning body (black, like my '99 L). Very nice!!

She got it at a good discount offered exclusively to members of this board and I think it cost her somewhere around $200-$300 with all the mods the seller added. She bought it from another F150 Lightning Online oldtimer (like me) who owns a large hobby shop in Atlanta. He owned a '99 L and was a regular here.

Unfortunately, I don't recall his name at the moment but if anyone's interested, I will do a search and try to get additional info. While you can purchase a similar rig elsewhere, you will probably pay more for the same parts (assuming he is willing to duplicate his original discount).

My wife picked a silver one up for me at Wal-Mart a few months back. My son started freaking out "theres daddies truck!" It was on clearance for around $40. Don't know if they still have them.

i didnt seen mine at toys R Us at first too. all i saw was that chevy SS thing. i had to ask for mine. you should go there again and ask for it. the companys name is New Bright
