A "well-tuned" chip should knock off a couple of tenths. Depends on how agressive the programming is, race gas, etc.

Does anybody have any track times or dyno #'s of a truck that is pretty much stock. Then put a chip in it!! Is there any difference really.

There have been people touching high 12s with just a chip but it is rare. Again, it depends on the tune.

Don't think I'll be anywhere near that. It ran a 8.81 @ 80.75 1/8 and 1/4 13.71 @ 100.51 before the modified air box on a 60deg night. After the modified air box on a hot mid 80deg day it ran the 8.75 @ 81.5 mph in the 1/8 so I''m think I could run a low 13.6 or high 13.5 in cooler weather now.

Brad, the 99-00 trucks have a bit more to be gained from a chip than the later trucks do. Our PSP chip has gained stock trucks an average of 30 rwhp, and about .4 in the 1/4. Some have seen even higher gains, I think Nathan here on this site gained 47 rwhp from our chip alone on his 99 when it was stock. We also enhance the transmission calibration, as well as other areas. The difference is night and day, after you put a chip in, you'll wonder how you ever drove the truck without it. If I can be of any help, just give me a call, or check out our website for other products.

Well I just ordered a single program chip from you guys at PSP about an hour ago. I hope it will make difference. Oh yea about how long does it take to get the chips from the time you order them I'm in AL.

Oh yea I plan on doing a 4lb pulley in about 4months do I have to purchase a whole new chip or do you guys reburn them.

Thanks alot
Brad

Maybe this will help, I carried my truck to the track for the first time Sat night to get some times before my mods are installed. I ran it with the superchip plugged in only, no k&n or anything else.......probably about 70 degrees. My best pass of the night was in the 8.50s (1/8 mile) but I had a terrible time hooking up. My 60 foot times sucked ***, the best 60 foot time was 2.10!!! 2000 L.

That's great Brad, I think you will be most impressed with the difference. As for the reburn, just simply send the chip back to us, with a note of what you need done. Reburn fees are $10 for a single or dual program, and $20 for a 4 program.

Lemme put it this way, completely bone stock with a leaky intercooler I ran 13.89@99. (8.7@82 1/8th)

I took off the muffler and went 13.603@101.

Then I put in a chip and ran 13.17@106.1 w/ a 2.2 60'. (1/8th mile was 8.46@86.66)

My best 1/8th with just a chip is 8.44@85ish.

There has been a couple ***just a couple*** Lightnings in the 12s with just a chip.
