Not exactly what you are looking for (2# upper) but YES, the chip makes a difference.

Dyno:
w\upper 2# and holes in the stock air box w\k&n: 353\426
w\upper 2# \CHIP and holes in the stock air w\k&n: 378\466

good luck,

Brad i wouldnt depend on just a chip. Thats what i did when i first got my truck, yeah it made a big difference, but looking back i wish i had done the actual mods (like the trans valvebody,or throttlebody for better response etc..)instead of relying on the chip.

Putting in a chip is a good way to see what the truck is capable of (as compared to what it felt like stock) Chances are you will always run some sort of program (fo the pulley etc..) But when you get the money, start changing some of the parts instead of depending on the chip. Its a lot better for the truck in the long run.

And dont get me wrong i ran a chip for about ... 11,000 miles or so, and when i pulled it to do the mods for real, the truck was unhurt.

Anyone know what to expect doing just the FTVB? What could I expect to gain with just that as a mod? I'm not ready for the chip yet for warranty purposes.

Friend of mine has just that, and nothing else.

He gained a huge grin, truck shifts like a real monster.

If you do no other mods, do that one.
