getting ready to buy '03 L

I have my eyes on two '03 L's at my local dealer. One is dark shadow grey and the other is sonic blue. Any body have any real good picks of either of these colors because I am torn between the two colors. Also is 29,990 and good price for new or should I try to get the dealer even lower.

I would say that the price you got there is a great one! Your below msrp so I would be happy with that, I payed sticker for mine! When thinkin bout the sonic blue just remember that at some angles it can look purple. Still an amazing color when freshly washed and waxed!

I am leaning more towards grey....that is a very sharp color. So the blue has a purple tint to it in the right light?

I had the choice to buy any of the 5 colors when I bought mine, L's are well stocked around here. The price you have been quoted is very good. I bought Red, I have a red mustang so that is a plus and personally when I think of SVT vehicles I think of something in bright red. If you want rare go with DSG, I doubt the color will go past two years on production 03 & 04, and I highly doubt many people are buying that color. Good luck, btw take it to the track bone stock and see what it runs and let us know. I have a theory about the 03's...

the SVT dealer here also has 2 '03 lightnings last time I checked, also Sonic Blue and Shadow Gray

I have a black 2000 now, and when I pay this off I am hoping to pick up a used 03 (or 04, if they have one more year on this body style left?) and I will buy a Shadow Gray

the blue looks nice, but its a little too bright for me! i liked the daker blue (02? true blue?) a bit better, but the Sonic blue certainly catches your eye!

I guess I like the gray, a little more subdued

my black 00 looks great, but hard to keep clean and swirls and scratches, and dirt really are obvious... living in a desert i cant avoid getting a nice coat of dust on the truck daily

Click the link in my sig for pictures of my new dark grey L I bought on 5/2/03. If you're looking for the less common color, the grey seems to be it, at least here in southern NJ.

$29,900 is a good price, IMHO. I paid about $33k for mine -- no price breaks on SVT products around here.

Hey, Mines Dark Shadow Grey. We need to take a poll on who owns DSG.

I think I am going to go with gray.

Also, does anyone know anything about water damage trade-ins? My car was water damaged for I got it. I put 100,000 miles on it since then so anything that would have gone wrong would have done it allready. It was not in a flood....Is there a difference betweem water damage and fllood damage. The car does not have salvage on the title. With all that in mind will a dealer still do okay on trade in?
