Why do you need tint if you only drive at night?

im pretty sure alabama doesnt have a tint law, our law up here in michigan is no tint in front windows...

but if you dont have a law, just limo tint it all the way around, and it should be $110-$150 depending on the quality and people you goto.

I think i have heard from other people that 28% was the lowest or higest you can go. I dont know how the numbers work. What comes on the L's I know it isnt much.

I have 30% on the side windows. I should have went darker. When I get the windshield tinted I'll have them remove the side tint and tint them darker.
50% front window and 25% sides.

It lists Alabama as having a 32% tint law, which means the tint needs to transmit 32% of the light to be legal. Limo tiunt is way to dark for side windows, especially one that is driven mostly at night. I would look into a 25% to 30% tint for the side windows. This will be pretty dark, plus also allow reasonable visibility. Usually the tint will look darker on dark colored cars. Find a good tint shop and ask to see some samples and some vehicles they have done. Remember though, the tint will seem much darker in the cab at night than it does during the day. Good luck.

I paid $100 for 28% on the sides. It's darker than stock but IMO it's not dark enough. I have absolulty no problem seeing at night. I can see out my window and into other peoples windows. Was hoping I couldn't be seen to well at night, but I don't think thats the case.

I got 28-30% for $50. The more numbers I hear on here the better deal I think I got. No hookup, Lifetime warranty.

I agree with Easterisland though. 28-30 doesn't look dark enough on black trucks. Works great on the inside, but I would like it to look darker from outside is all.

That should get you started:
Alabama
Visor.......6"
Front doors.....32%
Rear doors.....32%
Back window....32%

Tint is a personal preference, I wouldn't take anyone recommendations, IMO. See if you can find a buddy with tinted windows, and ride in his car, especially at night. Find out how tinted his were and how easy it is to see. I do a lot of night driving, and I always back into parking spots, so I just don't tint my windows. It's a PITA to back into spots with a tinted rear window.

Hey man go to Marshall Tyler in Sumiton (next door to Mcdonalds). yes the shop looks like hell but he does excellent tint work, very reasonable and he warranties it. Probably around 80-90 bucks, tell him i sent you and he'll probably hook you up better, we work 2gether @ RPS.

Man Kimball, sounds like a great price. Was this up in Montana or down here? Hook a brotha up! And don't buy that bar!

I've got 20% all the way around (including windowstrip) and I can see fine out of it. Theres only rare occasions where I have to lower the window (mainly backing up)

So where can I find tint laws for each state? I want to tint my windshield
