Vinny, I have only driven a Lightning once, and never did open it up. The salesman was riding with me
But even at part throttle I could hear the supercharger whining
I am still looking for a 2001 or newer "L." Do they sound like that 03 Cobra?

i have straight pipes on mine so it isnt as noticable but when i had the stock muffler and the JDM intake it sounded just like that. It even sounded like that stock but the JDM intake made it louder. They are awesome trucks. I love mine. I could have nothing else!!!

Been there, done that. Well not quite the INSANE 160, but 150 and I didn't come up on another vehicle like this guy did. I also didn't miss a gear... smile...
Yes, it's awesome power but I'll keep my L. I had a 03 Snake for 10 months and I loved the power. The car would flat scare you sometimes. I broke the tires so loose in 3rd once I almost did a 360 at about 90 MPH.
There were many vids like this one that surfaced when the 03's first came out. A sad story is one of the first vids showing pegging the OD was a guy who was killed in a motorcycle accident a few months later.

How does your Lightning compare to your 03 Cobra? Obviously, the Cobra would take the L in a 1/4 mile. But what about a short 0-30mph or 0-50 run? I would love a new Cobra, but I will have to settle for a 01' or newer Lightning
