No dyno variables and such here bud.
Actually, you would be quite surprised that JDM actually receives a larger # of business because of bad press. Hell, every tuner does. Where jim gets his loyality is from going to track events and helping everyone. Thats how you win peoples loyality.

Now, JJ is just a menace to the Lightning community. He can take his gay *** to JJ land and do his thing. The guy knows absolutely nothing about nothing. Remember, he is a believer in Plasma Boosters.. Albeit the only plasma getting boosted is his own.

I think someone should make a phenolic Cat, that way it would cool the temps and straigten the flow so it wouldnt' have time to heat up the Cats....

Not a LOOM member, don't have JJ parts on my truck, don't have JDM parts, I will stick with dealing with Chikenears and Sal.

Geez, if it isn't just one person to take a thread off topic into a bashing, there's always **** to add to the mix to cause it to close up quick. There's a good amount of information in this thread that is vital and relevant, if people like you would just look past the people involved and stop trying to be internet tough-guys.

Its cool man.

I (everyone) knows **** has a problem with JJ already but I do not think he meant to say it that way (Basically meaning I do not think he meant to bash all of LOOM). Or so I think.

blown cats

Alright heres my 2 cents on this, I you care, I deal with JDM, thats no secret, I've bought parts from other vendors and been very happy but when it comes time for my tune and the big stuff I like Jim, why? Because I trust him and his opinion, and thats what this is all about, trust, posts like this have never made one truck faster or one customer more satified, Matt, I posted this before and I'm sorry you cats had a meltdown, but are you running Jims program on both sides? If not why should he cover the part? I just read that your Grand National blew the motor, parts break thats part of racing, are you going to demand a motor from felpro because your head gasket let go, of corse not. I'm not a mechanic but if the cats cooked due to a poor tune consider yourself luckey it wasn't a motor. The part was out of warranty, deal, just save a few bucks and get a new one or pick up a Bassani off road pipe, we are modding are vehicles in doing such we all take chances, at this point in time the large performance manfactures have given us the cold shoulder so we are forced to deal with the tuners, for better or worse. Matt, I wish you the best in resolving your problem, no hard feelings just my opinion. Todd

Now now cheerleader, dont get your panties in a bunch. Its already been disclosed the guy comes to your house and washes your ride.

Is this automotive 101 now about how a catalyst system works?

Only instances ive seen cats melt is from lead. If they melt because of a lean condition, in most instances, the engine will cook way before the converters.

I have seen and experienced first hand converters CLOGGED by failing material, that breaks up and gets into the exhaust stream. This is caused by poorly built converters.

Im not sure what kind of converters JDM uses or used in the past for their headers. If they were bassani, then i can foresee the failure and know first hand, Bassani will give you the finger and not warranty the converters. If they are magnaflow, no worries, call them up and they will send you a replacement.

Ive never seen warranties on headers or exhaust systems. Hell, for the most part, no hi po parts. If JDM does or had warrantied their mid pipes for 6 months, well thats more then i can say for a lot of companies.

You are correct, it was no disrespect to all the members of Loom.

Just JJ and his plasma booster, self tuning, self.

I trust Jim too. You look at my sig where are 80% of the parts from>???

Another thing, me and Jim have talked and discussed some things so we are str8. I will try and get it warrantied str8 from Magnaflow and see what they say.

But I just want to get one thing str8. My truck never ran LEAN. I had the truck dynoed on both sides of the chip. Yes side2 was leaner at about a 12.2-12.4. Side1 made more power and was richer at about 12.0. These were measured by a tailpipe sniffer which I have heard reads leaner anyways. I only run on side1 because it makes more power! The only time side2 was run was at the track with race fuel and on the dyno.

Oh and about my GN blowing up, GM is gonna pay for that one. I was not driving the car when that happened(big mistake) so I can't say what happened there. Ya live ya learn ya move on. Simple as that. No hard feelings. -Mat-

This has already been proven to be incorrect, if you read above, and a great exaggeration, though I'm not sure where the idea came from Actually, my truck hasn't been washed in 8 months now, and no one's ever washed it but me and my wife.

If you have issues with JJ, that's fine. Don't bring LOOM into it though. JJ is a member of LOOM, but I, as the founder of LOOM, will do what I can to protect my club from people looking to needlessly bash it, or take advantage of it.
JJ != LOOM
LOOM > JJ
