2 " drop shackles

I've heard these improve your traction, fact or fiction?

I've heard the Belltech 3/4 drop improves handling so maybe there may be some truth in the 2 inch shackles doing the same thing, although I would assume on a much smaller level?

I dont know about that. When I had that kit it handled and rode really bad. IMO.

I would think straight line performance, possibly, but not much seat of the pants noticeable, they might help the back "squat" better and put more down force on the rears for acceleration but if they were just bought for traction u will be disappointed..

when you lower the rear of your truck, it does not give you better traction. it helps with weight transfer on launching and will improve 60' times. most people will see .1-.2 improvements in their 60'.

When you lower the rear of the truck with shackles you add a little negative pinion angle. This will help with straight line traction.

I agree with what both quicksilver and fastasL said. lowering the back angle helps with weight transfer and also I think that will help with 60 foot times. I also have heard it helps with traction, but I have no #'s to support that. thanks, Shane
