First time for everything...

Finally I hit 300+ miles to a full tank. I have been trying for months now and got 250-275 max. Normally I get like 200-225 so 300+ was awsome. I admit it was highway driving on cruise, but still, I had to take a pic of it so everyone would believe me.
But let me tell you, it was the worst 300 miles I put on the truck! I like WOT and I like to hear that supercharger whine! So that was the 1st and LAST 300 miles to a full tank!

The first pic I took was on the way home from the track, (didn't run, I got there late so I just watched) But it read like 315 at the track, I took a pic to be safe. I got home on same tank and it toped out at 347 miles! That isnt bad for me. When I normally get 200-225! Thanks, Shane

the service engine light came on when I installed the pro M 80mm mass air meter. I had to extend the censor and splice the wire and make it longer. any clue how I can back my steps and try to fix that? I now have the 90mm on, but still, the wire is spliced and made longer.... any tips?

Also I forgot to ad, the gas milege is contributed to my drive home from the wistonsin dells. It is exactly 205 miles from the house and I set the cruise on 65 and drove all the way home without touching the gas pedal. You may ask, if I can set the cruise at 65 when driving, why I never have gotten 300+ miles a tank b4. Well b4 I set the cruise, I was going 90-100 mph home (not caring about gas milege like normal) and I came up on a cop in the far right hand lane. So I slowed down and stuck going 65 but he saw me fly up on him, so he got behind me, ran my plates and pulled me over. He asked if I knew how fast i WAS going I said yes. So he said he'd just give me a warning. I was so amazed! But that is why I was going 65 the whole way home and even got 300+ in the first place. Otherwise I would have pry gotten like 225-250 like normal going like 80-90... Thank you Wisconsin State Trooper for the warning and the 300+ miles to a full tank!

The closest I have got to 300 miles was in my dreams. Although I have gained over 2 mpg since the ford warantee papers were removed from my glovebox.

Shane,
I was hoping you had a chance to run yesterday. As you know both of our trucks have almost the same mods except now you put the uppper on. That is one of the things I was considering for the next step on mine also. Did you notice any difference after the install?

Thx
Paul

well, I did upper pulley, single blade and 90mm mass air and filter all in 1 install. So all I can say is it is more throttle responsive. As for boost on the gauge, yeah I get another pound or 2 almost. Thats why I want to take it to the track. I also put on traction bars and et streets. MAN do they hook. I wished I would have listened and goten tires months ago. I know they would have won me many races (i lost). What are you doing next tuesday? I know you work, (in the city?) I am going to try to get out there at 4 and run 2-3 times. Ill let you know how i do. thanks, Shane
