I've had my 01' for 2 months. I had the same concern.
I've had everything from
-Your belt is slipping
- TC Lockup
- Some kind of torque limiting parameter in the PCM to save the intermediate clutch or something to that effect
I took a good friend of mine for a ride with a scanner...he's a linc. merc. tech. We are both still kinda clueless as to what it is. I haven't done that much digging I just kinda learned to live with it I guess.
I did the boost bypass mod as well. Other than that she's stock.
