Heck if you removed the stickers from your L it would look 100% stock.
Well, except for the obvious roll bars. But even then, I bet half the people on the streets probably wouldn't have a clue as to what they were

Good looking truck Sal!

Yep especially the ricers with their monkey bars...they'd probably assume Sal's bars were for looks only.

Sal: F1s??? You need at LEAST DRs for that beast!

Yeah, it's pretty funny that this "guy working out of his house" (as you JDM people like to refer to me) kicks your butts year after year.

Nice to see that you have ZERO professional courtesy, you should not have even posted in this thread. You don't see me or other tuners posting in all your "love JDM" posts about how great you guys are when you post some new accomplishment.

And BTW, I was also running the stock Eaton that day, don't you remember you guys lieing to everyone saying I was having problems with my Works 112?

Sal and Justin

Lets please keep this civil.

I have to agree that in my opinion tuners should stay out of each others threads.

Sal - glad to see your beast is back under power. I bet it feels good to drive it again.

Doug

PS - My truck is the quickest and fastest Silver Lightning I have ever driven, year after year .....

Sal
I like what you had to say about tuning issues and having the ability to solve them. I hope you are going to make your knowledge available to the general public and not keep it super top secret and only for a select few like some are.

Its easy to buy big cams and blowers now......its not so easy to get it all to work in harmony.

Oh and by the way.....that was diet chinese food wasn't it

The truck looks great Sal. Too bad you can't post here without someone (anyone) taking you to task. I can remember a time when there were NO tuners on here, and all we had were those willing to take the first steps. Thanks for all the "steps" you took so I didn't have to take the accompanying risk.....

Sal

Congratulations.

I'm glad to FINALLY see something that can be an everyday driver.

IN MY NOT SO HUMBLE OPINION
You SAL, are the Best tuner.
you don't have a Huge R&D budget, you work out of your house, I'm guessing low overhead and you answered my repeative questions even though I have never bought anything from you

you are the why I bought I Lightning.
I wanted a Fast truck, that I could drive everyday.

Unlike some of the trucks out there, I'd never drive them on the road, let alone in the rain.

I don't care what ANYONE says, I hope you don't let these guys get under your skin either. You know what the F_CK you are doing and to do it chepaer and better (no R&D and full weight fastest) is damn damn damn impressive.

I don't want to call you the underdog, because in no way are you, But what you have accomplished by yourself again is impressive.

Screw the people (JDM) who are trying to put you down.

Even if there is a faster one. Leave your truck stock weight , working AC, power seats, Hitch, Spare tire.... Otherwise, you'll be just like them. You'll own a truck with one purpose (drag racing and it will be a Trailer Queen)

Pssssssst. Sal challenge them to a Auto-X in race trim and lets see how the results are then?

Keep up the damn good work!

That is a wonderful point and something that all to often goes unnoticed around here these days. Thanks Sal for all your hard work and your continued contributions towards making our Lightnings faster and even more pleasurable to drive.

I find it down right scary that your truck possesses the power and potential that it does, but it can look so unsuspecting on the street.

(Since the topic of this thread is "10 Second Street Terror....)

What's the race weight for the JDM truck? Is it streetable at all? I know Bill's is...just wondering if JDM's is also?
They weighed our truck in that article. My truck weighs 4700 LBS.
I think the lightest it has ever weighed was 4680 LBS.
I know for a fact that Bill's truck weighs 4785 LBS.
Kevin Whites truck weighs 4711 LBS., and I am pretty sure that Dons truck weighs around 4700 LBS.

Sense these trucks have been built they all have 1000's of street miles on them.

JDM's truck is full streetable and will remain that way and so will our customers.

Hope this helps

Sal,

It's good to see your truck up and running again.
I talked to you at WFC6 about your massive Nitrous explosion.
It is nice to see that you got it up and running qiuck.

Like you Sal all of us have pride in what we do.
In your post you said the only other trucks in the 10's are striped and tube front ends and are not streetable.
Which is pretty unprofessional . You basically attacked everybody with a 10 second truck and their builders.
Doing a tube front end is something I considered for weight transfer so we could be consistent on our launches for competition.
As you know with this much power, 60FTs. are all over the place.
It is most likely the reason JL did it because he competes at every NMRA events. It is nice to see your hard work win the championship.

I don't think Justin was anymore out of line than you were Sal .
If you will edit you original post I am sure Justin will edit all of his.

P.S.
Your Truck is 100 LBS. heavier than mine. You only went 2 100's of a tenth fast than me and two miles per hour.
