Mod opinions please!!

OK I need some advice/suggestions on mods. My L is a 99 and has about 48k miles. It's my daily driver and I put 40-50 miles on it M-F.. on weekends maybe 50 miles total. I was wondering what would be the safest mods(pulley, chip) that won't blow up my motor in no time. I was thinking originally of getting a #4 pulley and a flip chip but I am worried it's gonna be too much for the L since I already had a head replaced a few months ago. I currently have a AirRaid intake kit and a JDM Silver Bullet exhaust but I am ready to step it up to the next level. Thanks in advance.

Chip and pulley will not blow up your motor. Just get a good tune, get correct range plugs and you'll be fine. Also remember to torque down your plugs correctly and gap them correctly and accurately.

I would recommend a 4# for a daily driver but some run higher boost with little worries. Hope this helps.

I run a #6 pulley and a chip on my daily driver with no problems. I drive like old people #$@!, (no pun intended to the frisky senior citizens) I love the extra power...do the #4 and a chip it'll really wake your truck up. Be sure you check those plugs though, I had two loose when I checked @ 19,500 miles.

Thumbs up

See my SIG! I drive about 100 miles a day w/mixed interstate and city. No problems yet in the 7,000 miles and two dragstrip trips.

Note: Before getting a chip/dyno tune and the pulley I'd do all the normal maintainance stuff to get er in tip-top shape. Then go to the plugs that your tuner of choice recommends for the mods you have in mind.

BTW: A 4# for daily driving will be just fine. No worries mate.
