I want (ad expect) help from PSP, Autologic, Kooks, and JDM

4000 miles and the Ford a$$holes are not going to pay for my motor. They say it's because of the parts YOU sell that my motor is screwed! I know that's not true but I think you should all help with lawyer's (your lawyers). If Ford gets away with this how are you going to keep selling to people with a warranty? If I could do it again I would not have a chip or headers until the warranty is up, even though I know they had nothing to do with the problem. I'm going to take pics and post them tmorrow. There has to be a way to prove if the chip and headers caused or did not cause the problem. Ford should not get away with this! By the way, I'm with Twisted this WILL be my LAST piece of hit Ford. I always was a GM man anyway. If GM had made a fast truck in 99 I would have never bought the first pile of crap!

oh my

i can't believe this is comming from someone who's been around as long as you have.

Here it is folks......if you're gonna play, you're gonna pay!

The parts YOU bought are the ones in question...good god.

Sorry to hear about your problem bud, but if you bought one of those cool xtremes and tricked it out and had a problem.....what makes you think chevy wouldn't have voided your warranty either??? Let's get realistic now.

Strap em up fellas, cause here it comes!!!

It's called tact, and you don't have any!

Sorry about your engine/Ford troubles though. I'm sure if I were in your position I would ***** all over anyone I dealt with too! Hopefully you'll get more than just apathy from this thread....

Good luck to ya!

You can get a lawyer on your own to argue the magnuson moss act. I don't think it is the fault of PSP JDM Kooks or Autologic. They also sell enough nitrous and boost to blow up an iraqi bunker, but don't expect your motor to hold together. Can you build a 400+ hp chevy and have it covered under warrenty? But i'm drunk right now, so what do I know!!!!

Jerry,

I understand your pissed off, fustrated, mad, and ready to kill,
but you know this is just gonna start a war here Bro.
Calm down and deal with this the right way. I'd be insanely pissed off too, believe me
I sympathize with you Jerry but you know everyones gonna roast you hear if you start a post like this. Why not ask People what they did when it happen. Why not ask Sal, Jim or whoever for there opinion on how you should play this out.

I feel for you and I agree Ford has no right to instantly void your Wrrnty until they can prove the Mod did the damage. Rest assure that is not why your truck blew. Going lean, detonationg, over revving, over powering, etc, is the kind of stuff that blows a motor. I now push mine to the point it can blow at the track, but I except the responsibility and wouldn't even attmept going to Ford If it does blow up

What you need is for Ford to AT LEAST agree to take the motor apart and show you what failed. There have been a few cases of loose main bearing bolts, and of course the leaking intercooler or head gasket that can send antifreeze into the oil. If you see any of that, Ford and the SVT Inspector will have to take a look at that and reconsider. If not, get your truck the Hell out of there before they **** it up more and get it over to Jim, Johnny, or anyone with a shop for a short block.

We all know Ford's wrrnty sucks, so does their Customer Service, but we ALL ALSO KNOW they will void our wrrnty for ANY MOD these days.

We have to except that responsibility when we Mod it,
or WE DON'T MOD IT.

Sorry bout your Motor Jerry

Hey I resent that remark,
What do you mean don't expect my Motor to hold up ???
I expect mine to hold up no matter what I do to it
And look at this, my Pal Blown 318 thinks it's funny too

I'm gonna prove you all wrong. My 02 is gonna take all I can throw at it.

And when it blows,
I'll just sneak a short block in it and won't tell any of you

Yours Truly
Nitrous Ronbo

Jerry, maybe your attitude has had alot to do with why you've gotten treated that way?

I know you have careuflly selected every part you put on your truck, but I have never seen ANYONE complain about them more then you. Every peice added some new squeak, squak or groan that kept you awake in the middle of the night.

I think you need to look into getting something to calm you down...Vallium, Prozac, something to bring out those happy thoughts.

I have full length headers and the full deal exhaust, a roush suspension, brembo brakes, qa1 shocks, a panhard bar, an open-air filter, and even left my E-Town racing slips in the truck when I brought it in for service. They looked at the problem (spit a plug out of the head), and proceeded with the warranty work without blaming headers or brakes for it. Ford and the dealership treated me fairly on it, they came out to look at it, the dealership told me they need to pull the engine and take it apart to appraise it, they told me that if it shows that an aftermarket part caused it, I would have to pay for that work, I agreed. They pulled it, and saw it was defect, and things went on, no questions asked.

If I had a suspension problem resulting form the changes I did, I woudln't bring to the dealer to get fixed.

Take a deep breath, count to ten, document and look through everything in your changes, call the dealership, speak to them CALMLY about it, find out what can be done.

Goodluck...

Dan

PS
As far as the "this is my last blah blah", EVERY car has their problems, so the is still the stupidest comment I ever see when someone complains, it makes me laugh all the time. You think Corvettes have no problems? BMW's have no problems? HAH, then maybe you DO have some good drugs already.

Yep, like I said earlier, your aproach and tact has a LOT to do with how people treat you. I'm sure you do not need a lecture on this, but keep it in mind next time you talk with Ford or ask someone to do something for you...

A smile and a little courtesy goes farther than most people think...
