P.S. Odin's Wrath, what happened to your AFM Power Pipe? Myself and ThunderStruck are still running ours. I have gotten a 12.01 out of it and ThunderStruck nailed an 11.92 with his.
Nothing wrong with the Power Pipe, I just prefer the enclosed system offered with the Volant. They've made the improvements needed to eliminate the restriction problems of the previous design.

What does the extrude hone piece flow with a stock throttle body as compared to an oval bore throttle body? I basically just want to know if a stock throttle body flows 965 cfm.

No data on that combo. I was quoting the upper intake only. I believe if you search there was data comparing throttle bodies and both Ba-Bolt and Accufab were comparable in flow rates. I could be mistaken but my memory ain't what it used to be. Regardless, the glass smooth result of EXTRUDE HONE can only help the higher boosted applications. Stock trucks will probably see none to negligible gains. Hope this helps.

wouldnt the hand ported plenums be better? the extruded ones i've seen still have the "petrusions" on the inside. I hand ported mine and grinded them down, and the ones from REM look good too.

I hand ported the "obstructions" before the EXTRUDE HONE process.

I've been wondering about actaul gains with this done, can someone point me in the right direction, are you buying a new upper intake then sending it out or are pulling the existing and putting the truck down for a couple of weeks. Thanks, Todd

Ahhh...Buford my good man, I don't doubt that were talking SAE corrected on both runs but I've seen runs vary by as much as 10 hp (SAE corrected) depending upon the weather conditions. In fact, if I try to compare one of my runs made in 95-degree heat to a run made in 50-degree winter weather the Dynojet software will warn me that the weather conditions between the two runs are significantly different. I don't doubt that it helped...and if you get a 10th out of it it appears that it did...I just don't think everyone will see the 10-15 and 20-25 that some people claim.

Actually they are when they are polished after they are ported. Ever see one that Next generation Motosports has done? It actually comes out smoother than the extrude honed one. I know cuz I had both. No "nooks or crannies" like occurs with the extrude media process. And they basically dyno the same . We got 6 h.p. and 15 ft. lbs of tq. on an Eddy Current Mustang dyno which is more conservative than the dyno-jets.I am more than pleased with mine.

Depends on time and effort. Only trust yourself, or someone who has already shown themself to reliable, if porting and polishing is your choice. With the air being forcefully drawn through the plenum by the blower, the amount of material removed is more important than the smoothness of surface the air passes over. Extrude Hone not only removes more material, it's more repeatable and isn't subject to the motivation of the person doing a hand porting job. Of course, that's just my experience.

True...but these are done with "love" And the turn around time is intantaneous. With my first extrude hone , I had to wait over 2 weeks to get one.
