What are IHRA/NHRA rules on d/s loop placement and materials?

ds loop

i know the metco/jdm/lfp loop that bolts through the foor boards is heavy duty. Where it is mounted is were the metal overlaps, so it's a bit thicker then .8 sheetmetal. Actually, it's quite think now that I think about drilling through it. Very clean look and dropping the driveshaft is a breeze. Just need a 12pt 12mm socket, a tad of heat if they don't come out.

I don't care for the ones that mount to the frame, but to each, their own.

Yes I think it would be.........more info here

Besides according to the info Dave dug up it seems 1/4" is legal thickness.

Easter, ever heard the rule:

"The value of a helmet is inversely proportional to the value of what it's covering?"

J/K. We all make full-throttle (in my case, NOT 11 second ) passes on the street with no helmet. I guess that the tracks just figure that something with that much HP may get out of hand.

But on my motorcycle, I won't ride around the block without my lid.
