Sorry for the rookie question but can someone post pics or try to explain rear hangers for me. I know what shackles are but I dont know about hangers. I know they have something to do with the leaf spring mounting. Thanks!

 

If you look at the leaf spring, the rear end has the shackles which are pretty much a breeze to install. The front part of the leaf sping where it connects is the hanger. To replace those is a MF!!! I just put the JLP 3" shackles and said enough. If I want to go a little more it worth just buying the 2" drop Hotchkis springs and reinstall my 2" shackles to give me the 4" drop in the rear.
