Question FT Monster Box Trans vibration

Does anybodys FT Monster Box trany vibrate the cab when in gear at idle, with foot on the brake, or could the PI tq converter do that too? I thought it was the Bassani exhaust but I had it checked and nothing is touching.

I unfortunetly do not have a Monster Box yet. Hopefully at some point after obtaining a built motor I will be able to invest in one. However IMO I would check the converter first...or have it checked. I had converter issues with my current daily driver (contour), and previous beater (96 stang). The only rattle I ever had in the L was because of the exhaust hangers.

Gregg totally stands behind his work, if it is the Box, I'm sure he will take care of you.

id be willing to bet it the torque converter before the tranny. i here the pi's rattle, but the newer ones were supposed to be revised to not rattle so much

Yea I hear the PI's rattle but don't know if there's a solution? Maybe a bigger tranny cooler would solve your woes...

According to PI they are not revised, but I am not talking about the rattle. What I have is a vibration.
Thanks

Mine has never vibrated. Ofcourse I have stock converter. Did you do the install? Could the top bolts be lose or something out of balance? Sorry that I could not help. Maybe Gregg can shed some light on it for you.

Vibration is almost always a converter issue, either balance or the Pilot hub and drive hub centers are not centered to each otther, I learned this the hard way. There's very little in a tranny that can cause a vibration you'd feel, it's all too close, the weight of the drum offsets can do it in some transmissions, but Ls are balanced and even that is covered.

You might also want to double check the trans install, it could very well be a case of a surrounding part not sitting right, and transmitting a vibration from the trans to the cab floor.

The truck is not moving so the drive shaft is not spinning.
Thanks
