Stock 2000 1/4 mile TIMES......

I got a 2000 lightning with only mod being the boost bypass and modified stock air box a little.

I thought it ran ok for the conditions here are the times.

60ft 2.06
1/8 8.71
1/8mph 81.15
1/4 13.70
1/4mph 100.85

It was at a midnight madness thing where there were a ton of ricers and just about anything in the world running. The track was a little slick so I think there is a little more in her with better conditions.

???? If i got a 4lb lower and chip would I need to upgrade to a 90mm mass air or could the 80mm handle it. ?????

13.7 is great for a stocker

Only wish I'd have run mine when it was stock. But I always thought mine would remain stock

Thanks guys!!

Oh yea my 1/8mile mph seems high for just 100 in 1/4 but then again i'm use to mustangs.

Also when the truck shifts to 3rd gear it seems like it's kinda on off boost for a second but the boost guage doesn't move but the rpms stumble back and forth just for a slip second. Kinda like converter is lock and unlocking. Still only got 30000 miles on the truck so i might take it in.

So the factory 80mm will be ok for right now with 4lb pulley and chip!!

Hey Bruce, I feel the same way. When I bought my 2000 L brand new, I told myself that the truck would remain stock except for a K&N panel filter. Then a year later I found SVT Performance and hooked up with Jim @ JDM and went hog wild for the next 2 years. I'm happy with the results, but I wish I had taken it to the track just to see what it would've run, probably 13.8's or 13.9's. Anyhow, when are you going back to the track, it's a blast racing with you, later, John H.

Brad,
This sounds about right to me. I ran 13.71 stock. I didn't do the airbox mod and only ran 99mph (1.97-60).
Good luck in your pursuit of speed. Keep us posted.

My 00 ran 13.8 stock as well.

With some patients, you can get your 60's below 2.0 on F-1's. I've mustered a best of 1.90, but I know others with more skill and practice have done better.
