Today I finally decided to get a Cobra. I will miss the L but $31081 was to good to pass up. It was a black coupe. Trust me it is definetly bad azz. Take it easy.

Good on ya. If i got a Cobra i think i would go with Black as well. From Crewe eh, i ride my Harley (Davidson) through your town every now and then, nice riding area. Enjoy the car Chuck.
My dad works for a blue oval dealer and he got a d-plan pin # I guess for employees. I thought you couldnt get one for cobras but I guess you can. Same thing as x-plan or similar.

Congrats
I'd love to have one, but there is no way I could do without my "Home Depot Flyer" and I can't afford both

All vehicles have their issues, but the Cobra is an excellent alternative to the Lightning. Good choice and have fun!

Catch 22, or you can enjoy the plug spitting, rod shooting, clunking, cold start chatter Lightning.

I do have to worry about my rods.
However, if i was to own an 03 cobra, with as much as i frequent the track, a solid axle and McLeod clutch would be mandated with my 7000 rpm drop clutch launches.
As far as the tick, your going to have to sit on it and wait. Theres also the likelyhood of blowing your bottom radiator hoses. It seems as of late, all of the SVT vehicles are troubled to some point.

I dont have a Clunk, Startup Chatter or Plug Spitting Lightning. Those have been addressed.

I think those damaged radiator hoses were caused by improperly installed (or not at all) retainer straps to keep the hose away from the fan, and as such is easily fixed. Not all of the Cobras owners experience the "tick" which has now been identified and is also fixable. All-in-all, not a bad package for the price. I like mine.
