Wheel/Slick ?'s

I am finally getting around to buying some wheels/slicks; I am busy doing research on the two. Here are my questions;

I see M/T has a 28x11.5-16, but the tread only shows 8.7 then they have a 28x12.5-16 that has a 10" tread. I also looked at some 27x10.5-16 which had 8.9" tread(the 27 would help my gearing on an 02) I then looked at Hoosier who has 28x11.5-16 which's tread is 10". Basically which would you guys suggest I get? I want "DOT" tires, and am planning for some mid to low 12's in an 02 L.

Then on wheels, all I looked at was 16x10's. Eagle Alloy has some that weight 25 pounds, M/T has some that weight 22 pounds, and American Racing Baja has some, but published weight. I am kindof leaning toward the M/T's since they were in the $120 range. Sorry, Bogarts are a little to much $$$

Also, will 4 1/2 back spacing work/look right on the L. And should I plan to get tubes, or can I run them tubeless(prefered for me)

Save yourself the trial and error and just go for the Hoosiers with the Baja wheels. We sell them already mounted and balanced.

Hope this helps,
