I noticed that my Kenne Bell has changed it's tone since I first put it on. It was very quiet the first few days, but has sine changed to a rougher marble sound at idle. It can only be heard inside the truck and is still quiet. It has not gotten any louder and performs the same. I was wondering if this was common?? It's stayed the same for at least 1 1/2 months.

Cavitation...

I know my Eaton is doing that... my mechanic said the same thing... somewhat 'normal' from what I've heard...

 

I don't notice any difference in the inside of the cab, but if I listen close with the hood up I think the sound has changed to what you describe. I have around 7K miles on it since I installed in early April or late march.

 

That was my guess but I thought I'd ask. I knew the Eatons did it sometimes.
