got traction?

I came into work today to see my new slicks sitting on the floor in front of my desk. It took me like 10 minutes to get all the wrap off them, but there off and they look awsome!

I also got some traction bars and a drive shaft loop the other day.

I'm ready for the track!
thanks, Shane

Glad to see they made it and you're happy. I know I'll be kicking myself next time at the track when I'm on ice. Anyway, good luck. I'm determined to cut at least a 1.80 60' on the F1's.

Shane, how did you like WFC?

Hope I'm not ruining your day but the MT tent at WFC had those for 175 a piece with free mounting and balancing...

What size did you go with?

cyntaxx, i payed $175 for them total. For both, Shipped! What size are they Brian? 26x16x11.5? I could be wrong, but I know they go on my 16 inch rims and they are 26 inches tall only.... The width I gota double check on...
I've got a buddy who just came to pick them up aleady around 2 this afternoon already who is mounting them on my 2 rims (had 16" drag radials on them) and is balancing them for me later tonight.
I saw the ones at World Ford. They look just like the ones I have. Brian, my friend with the L, who just came to pick them up, doesnt believe me these are used.... They look great man. thanks again. shane

i was waiting for someone to say that... but work HAS been busy. I manage a cell phone shop and I am working on a 275 phone deal!!!! that's huge. That brings in the company $96,250
and I would get $13,750! so work has been busy. Wish me luck on that, thanks, Shane

Congrats on work. Sounds like you have a good deal in the making. They are 11.5" wide. I got them for a good price myself and figured I'd pass on the opportunity to a fellow lightning brother. We have a tight community with these trucks so I don't mind doing these kind of things. (now if someone could give me a "loaner" KB ) LOL I'm out like a fat kid in dodgeball.

with the 26 inch tall tires and a stock 3:55 gear. I am not losing any gear by running them right? im actually gaining gear and traction correct? The smaller the tire (from stock) the bigger the gear? so now i have a little closer to a 3:73 is that correct?
what happens when I upgrade to 28" tall hoosier slicks? I'll need to go out and get a 3:73 or even a 4:10 correct? If i can get more info on tire sizes, gears and all that fun stuff, i'd appreciate it. thanks, Shane
