Gota Problem, Please Help

I have a flex a lite fan and I have mounted an LED inside the cab to indicate when the fans are running (when they have been activated by the temp. or AC switches) but I can't get it to work. I've tried running it parallel with the fan motors with an in-line 470 ohm resistor. When the fans are off the LED is slightly lit and even when the fans are on it is still only slightly lit. So, what am I doing wrong? Where should I connect my wires so that the LED lights up when and only when the fans are on? Thanks!

i did the same thing i just ran one wire to the cab that hooks right to the relay that turns on the fans this wire goes to the red on the led and the other to ground, i used a led from an old alarm, just get a 12v led and hook right up to the 12+ side of the fans...

I tried doing that except i'm using the control modula that came with it and theres is potential voltage across the fans all the time so that when any of the switches are close (AC, Temp., Manual) it completes the ground. The control modula has an LED on it that indicates that the fans have power so if some how I could tap into that LED I could wire it into the cab. I e-mailed flex a lite, hopefully they will give me some ideas. I guess other wise I will have to get ride of the control modula and wire up my own relays and work it that way, right?
